Get Crafty! - Egg Carton Scavenger Hunt

Since the weather was amazing this weekend, we decided it was time to do the outdoor scavenger hunt we've been meaning to do with Nico for ages. It turned out to be a lot of fun, so I thought I'd share.

You will need:

• an empty egg carton
• washable paints + paint brush

1. First, paint the inside of each egg cup of the carton a different color. (Nico was busy painting a picture, so I did this part myself. He did pick the colors, though.)

2. Once you're finished, simply wait for the paint to dry.

3. Next, take your kiddo outdoors and have them find objects in nature (i.e. rocks, leaves, grass, flowers, etc.) that match the color of each cup. When they have filled all of the cups with something, the game is over. 

We had so much fun doing this little scavenger hunt! Not only was it entertaining, but it was also educational. Win, win!
