We Be Swammin'!

Despite the forecast predicting rain all weekend, the weather gods decided to throw us a bone and give us a pretty amazing Saturday afternoon. You know, not too hot, but still warm enough to enjoy a swim? It was perfect. So we, of course, decided to take advantage of the sunshine and fill up our pool. Since swimming isn't in the cards for me right now, I took this time to relax outside and snap some photos of my little family.

We weren't sure how Lola would react since last time she got in a pool (on 4th of July) she slipped underwater (it was pretty scary, actually), but she surprised us and was completely game. She was more cautious at first, refusing to sit down or let go of the side of the pool, but eventually ended up sitting down with Daddy and even floating in her turtle tube.

Nico, on the other hand, was totes ready to jump in the water from the get-go! He had played with a surfboard in a friend's pool recently and loved it, so for the past couple weeks we had been on the hunt for a little board of his very own. Then last weekend at the mall, we came across this Cars surfboard we thought would be perfect. That is until we opened it up and realized it was tiny. This didn't stop him though. He got those feet kickin' and found a way to make it work!

We had a really great time hanging out in our little yard. And now that we know just how much these littles of ours love the water? We'll definitely be making this a more regular activity.

  3. A couple hours (I think?). Not like we were in San Diego, that's for sure!
