A Breath of Fresh Air

The weather was perfect outside yesterday, so we decided to venture over to the neighborhood park. Since I'm still recovering from surgery, my stepmom and I thought it'd be best to drive there, even though it's only a block away. However, when the car wouldn't start (thankfully, it just needed a new battery, which the hubs was able to replace last night), we sucked it up and made the trek on foot. I have to say, it was such a breath of fresh air (literally). The kids have been limited to playing in the house/yard for the past week (with the exception of Nico going to school), so the change of scenery was nice. I think now that I'm feeling a bit better and it's getting cooler out, we'll definitely be frequenting the park more often in the coming months.
