Today marks 2 weeks that I've been tracking my weight-loss since surgery (though my surgery was actually 3 weeks ago). This week I lost...
Weight Lost This Week: 1 lb.
Total Weight Loss: 13 lb.
Yes, this is quite a bit less than last week's weight loss, but I'm okay with it. While in the hospital, my team warned me that my weight would plateau around week's 3 to 4. They told me not to get discouraged, so that's what I'm trying to do. After all, I'm only taking in around 600-800 calories a day, so I know the pounds will start coming off again soon.
As far as my diet goes, I'm now able to eat soft foods as well as a lot of other foods as long as I chew 'em up really well. I mean, I'm not eating steak, greasy foods, sweets or anything with a lot of carbs, but I'm good with eating small bites of chicken, black beans, cheese and that kind of stuff. I can get about 1/2 cup of food down now before I'm stuffed, which may not seem like much, but I feel totally satisfied with this amount. It's nice to have my body tell me so quickly that I'm full, instead of 30 minutes later when I've already consumed more than I should have, you know?
In terms of how I feel, I am doing so much better. Within the past week, I went from feeling like total and complete shite to feeling almost totally back to normal, so yay for that! I can only imagine that it's going to get better from here on out!
Here's to hoping that my weight-loss picks back up again this week. But if not? Then I'll just keep on keepin' on, because I know that it's only a matter of time before it does!
