Today marks 4 weeks since I began tracking my weight loss progress post-surgery. This week I lost...
Weight Lost This Week: 2.8 lb.
Total Weight Loss: 18.8 lb.
Not too shabby. Especially because if you've been following my journey since week 1, then you know that I've technically lost a total of 31.8 lb. (if you include the 2 weeks pre-surgery), which is pretty amazing if you ask me. Even more cool is the fact that I can now fit into jeans that I haven't been able to wear for years. What what!
In terms of my diet, nothing much has changed. I'm still eating about a 1/2 cup portion size at meals before feeling completely full. I attempted to track what I was eating via My Fitness Pal (and did so for about 4 days), but once I realized that I was, in fact, getting a decent amount of protein (50-60 grams) and not going over my suggested range of calories (about 800/day), I decided to do without it for the time being. Not that I don't think it's a great program (because it is), it's just a real pain in the ass to track all of the ingredients for something I've cooked when my portion size is so small. So, for now, I'll just continue to make sure I'm getting my protein in first and listen to my body when it tells me I'm full. You know, the whole "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach? Or something like that.
As far as exercise goes, the only real "work out" I've been getting is the 2x/wk I do physical therapy. However, I do plan on unfreezing my gym membership within the next couple weeks. I'm hoping that this will help speed up my weight loss + tone any loose skin I may start getting (thankfully, this hasn't been an ish thus far). But other than this? I plan on continuing just as I am going forward. Overall, I'm very happy with the results I've been getting. I mean, the fact that I've lost almost 32 lb. in the past 7 weeks completely blows my mind.
What about you guys? How have your diets been coming along the past week?
