It's been a total of 5 weeks since I began tracking my weight, post surgery. This week I lost...
Weight Lost This Week: 1.2 lb.
Total Weight Loss: 20 lb.
I must admit, I'm a little bit bummed that I lost so little this week, but I just keep reminding myself that some weeks are gonna be better than others. I mean, I did hit the 20 lb. mark post surgery (for a total of 33 lb., including the 2 weeks prior to surgery), which is pretty cool.
Something I've been doing lately is watching YouTube videos of other people's journeys through this process. I find that it keeps me motivated, especially when seeing their progress over an extended period of time. The bad part about this is that I tend to compare my weight loss with theirs, which is something I shouldn't be doing. I know that everyone is different and is going to lose weight at a different pace (especially when we all begin at such varied weights). Besides, my doctor predicted I'd lose between 14-18 lb. by my follow-up appointment on Nov. 2nd, and I've exceeded that, even if only by 2 pounds. So I guess maybe I shouldn't be so hard on myself?
Anyway, here's to hoping this week is better than the last!

Hey, you should look at some pics of yourself before and now. I bet you'll be able to see the difference, and let that motivate you going forward. Plus, it sounds like you're already exceeding your doctor's expectations, so go you!
ReplyDeleteHi friend. A pound is nothing to roll your eyes at. Each one adds up. You go girl!

Yay for a loss and super woo hoo for a total of 33 lbs, that's amazing. Plus if you had a "bad" week at least you know next week has got to be better.
ReplyDeleteGood idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks lady!
ReplyDeleteYeah, hopefully that's the case, lol!
