Up until yesterday, we weren't actually sure that Halloween festivities would be happening for us this year. We live Northern VA, and while we weren't affected by Hurricane Sandy nearly to the degree that NJ and NY were, most of our area lost electricity for close to 24 hours. Thankfully, though, our neighborhood's power was restored in time and it was a go!
We met up with our friends down the street to go trick-or-treating together. Nico had no problem going up to even the scariest of houses, while Lola was a little more cautious, waiting until we reached the last street before she felt comfortable enough to go up and get candy (much like her brother at this age). It was cold out, but they were having such a good time that they didn't even seem to notice.
We ended the day snuggled up on the couch watching Uncle Jason on X Factor. It was lovely - probably the best Halloween yet!
I'm so glad you guys were able to celebrate Halloween! Nico's expression in that 4th pic is cracking me up, and you look amazing!
